Making More Money with your Computer

In part two of this series of how to make a little exra money, is the way I have made the most money and had the most fun with.

CafePress is an online store for t-shirts, mugs, ball hats, greeting cards, calenders, even underware. You are basically selling your designs. You crate and download your personal design, then tell Cafe Press which items you would like to have them printed on, and they do the rest! No supplies to keep, no inventory to keep, very little web site updates to upkeep, no shipping of goods by you. I have been a member since February of 2005. This is how I pay my internet bill every month! Here is how it works:

I have a program that I like using to design invitations and such for birthday parties. I use this program to make designs that would look good on t-shirts, coffee mugs, bumper stickers and such. I save them to my computer as a JPEG file. Then I just download the file to their web site and pick what items I want themm to be screen printed on. People find the products, purchase them, and you get a commision check in the mail a month later. It is really that easy!I have a button on the side that puts you right to my store if you want to take a look.

I personally do have a premium shop, but also have multipule free shops to. If you want to try it out, try with just one design, and open a free shop. Read all the different material they have to offer, and e-mail me if you have any questions that you can't figure out.

This month I received a check for $104 left over from my Christmas sales. My two biggest times of the year are Christmas sales, and Earth Day sales. I tend to make alot of Mother Earth related shirts. Think of what you like and can't find in the stores, think outside the box. Get creative, and write down funny sayings when you think of them. You can even use personal artwork with a scanner. The possibilities are absolutly endless! I found this web site when I was looking for a Dodgeball t-shirt for my son 4 years ago. I couldn't find anything in the local stores, and when I Googled Dodgeball t-shirt, I discovered this site. I started slowly, and am now up to about 150 designs and trying to add even more designs. It can be addictive. But it feels great when you get the first e-mail stating "You made a sale".

Let me know if you need help, and keep me informed of your progress if you want to give it a go. Good Luck, and have fun with it!
